Frequently Asked Questions

Dress Code

The dress code for our wedding celebration is black-tie optional.

For men, if you have a tux, rock it! If you don’t, please wear a dark-colored suit and tie.

For women, floor-length evening gowns or suits are encouraged, but mid-length dresses and dressy jumpsuits are also appropriate. The courtyard space where dinner will be held has uneven cobblestones, so block heels and wedges may be more comfortable than stilettos.

Weather

Our celebration will be primarily indoors, but dinner will be held outdoors under a clear tent. The tent will protect us from rain, and if it is cold that day, we will have heaters. However, we still recommend bringing a coat, cardigan, or shawl to toss on if you get chilly. A coat check will be available for you when you arrive.

Kids

We love kids, but we've decided to keep the evening of our wedding celebration primarily for adults. Children who were named on your invitation are welcome. For any kids who weren't, we ask that they spend the evening with a babysitter or family member. If this creates any issues for you, please text one of us!

Kids are warmly invited to the rest of the wedding weekend, including the welcome event and Sunday brunch.

Plus-Ones

Plus-ones were named on our invitations. If you don't see a plus-one included and would like one, reach out to us directly.

Photography

We'd love for guests to be fully present during the ceremony, so we're asking for an unplugged ceremony. Our photographer will capture everything, and we will share the photos — we promise!

Main Entrance

The main entrance for The Foundry is at 42-38 9th Street. You’ll see the black awning with “The Foundry” on the side. Please use this entrance when you arrive for the ceremony.

See our wedding weekend page for arrival times.

Parking

While the venue does not have on-site parking, there is street parking right next to the venue, with no meters or regulations. A street attendant will guide you to available parking upon arrival.

That said, we recommend that our guests use New York’s excellent public transportation, cabs, or rideshare apps so they can safely enjoy the open bar. We’re happy to answer any questions for those who are unfamiliar with the city!

Hotel Blocks

Our hotel blocks have closed, but if you're still looking for accommodations, text one of us, and we'll help you figure something out!
